IJPP tickets are used within Slovenia's integrated public passenger transport system. The system connects intercity bus and rail services and offers different types of tickets depending on where and how often you travel.
At karte.brezavta.si, you can search for tickets for your journey and purchase them online. A single barcode ticket can be purchased without an IJPP card, while period tickets and certain other products are generally loaded onto an IJPP card.
Which IJPP tickets are available?
Single tickets
If you only need one journey, you can purchase a single barcode ticket. You do not need an IJPP card for this ticket. After purchase, you can display it on your phone and add it to Google Wallet or Apple Wallet.
Daily, three-day and weekly tickets
If you need several journeys over a shorter period, see our guide to daily, three-day and weekly IJPP tickets. These tickets allow unlimited journeys on the applicable route during their validity period. Once the fare reaches the maximum tariff for the ticket type, nationwide validity applies.
Monthly and annual tickets
For regular travel, consider a monthly or annual IJPP ticket. Depending on the ticket, it can be personalised or non-personalised and valid for a specific route or, once the nationwide tariff cap is reached, throughout Slovenia.
Vozovnica Slovenija
Vozovnica Slovenija provides nationwide travel within Slovenia for the validity period of the applicable ticket. Nationwide validity applies to certain ticket types once their maximum tariff price is reached.
Subsidised tickets
Eligible pupils, students and other passengers can purchase subsidised IJPP tickets. Eligibility must be arranged and approved before purchasing the relevant subsidised ticket.
Do I need an IJPP card?
It depends on the ticket. At karte.brezavta.si, a single barcode ticket can be purchased without an IJPP card. Tickets that are loaded onto an electronic medium require an IJPP card or another supported electronic medium.
How much does an IJPP ticket cost?
The fare depends on distance, ticket type and validity period. Some period tickets have a maximum tariff price. Once that price is reached, the ticket becomes valid throughout Slovenia.
To see the exact fare, select your origin and destination and check the tickets offered for your journey. Always review the final price before payment.
Can I use an IJPP ticket on buses and trains?
Integrated IJPP tickets are used on intercity bus and rail services according to the conditions of the selected ticket. A supplement may be required for higher-category trains such as IC, MV, EC, EN and ICS services.
